Chief Customer Officer Andria Lightfoot Named to 2022 HousingWire Women of Influence List

Since 2018, The HousingWire (HW) Women of Influence program has recognized the efforts of notable women in the housing industry. SimpleNexus Chief Customer Officer, Andria Lightfoot, is not only a sixteen-year mortgage industry veteran, but now a 2022 HW Woman of Influence for her commitment to technological innovation, inclusion, and excellence within the housing industry.

Client-focused innovation amid times of transition
Before joining SimpleNexus in March 2021, Lightfoot served six years as the Chief Operating Officer at George Mason Mortgage, where she reduced turn-times by three business days and increased application pull-through by 12%. When SimpleNexus executive leaders Matt Hansen and Cathleen Schreiner Gates learned about the customer-focused efficiency Lightfoot brought to operational processes, they knew she was the ideal candidate to manage SimpleNexus’ customer success efforts.

Lightfoot made an immediate impact in improvements to the customer experience at SimpleNexus. She led initiatives to enhance SimpleNexus’ customer implementation strategy during the launch of the company’s Nexus Closing solution. Nexus Closing provides advanced capabilities for closing virtual real estate transactions, including remote online notarization (RON), eNote, and eVault capabilities underpinned by new strategic integrations with Notarize and DocMagic. Lightfoot’s contributions to customer implementation strategy enabled the company’s lender customer base to adopt the Nexus Closing solution rapidly.

While driving positive change in the customer organization, Lightfoot also assisted in two significant acquisitions during her first twelve months at the company. First, Lightfoot helped develop a multi-phase merger plan used by the executive team to navigate the acquisition of LBA Ware, a business intelligence platform. Additionally, Lightfoot contributed to SimpleNexus’ integration management, project management, and expansion of client success personnel during SimpleNexus’ acquisition by nCino, the worldwide leader in cloud banking. During the nCino acquisition, Andria worked diligently to scale SimpleNexus’ customer teams and to ensure a smooth transition into a new internal operational structure within our new parent company.

A commitment to inclusivity
Along with SimpleNexus’ commitment to improving diversity and accessibility in home buying, Lightfoot has contributed to improving how the mortgage industry serves minority consumers. Andria managed vital customer implementation components related to SimpleNexus’ deployment of Nexus Bilingual, a convenient desktop and mobile-responsive experience that enables prospective borrowers to initiate purchase and refinance mortgage loan inquiries in Spanish. When prospective borrowers submit a Spanish-language loan inquiry, Nexus Bilingual informs them that a member of their lender’s Spanish-speaking staff will reach out to help them complete the process in English and educate them on the next steps.

With no plans to slow down, Lightfoot is currently focused on building user awareness and engagement with SimpleNexus’ professional service offerings. The recently-established professional services consulting arm of her client success team diversified the capabilities of SimpleNexus’ suite of digital mortgage products by enabling lenders to build custom solutions with advisory support. In Lightfoot’s own words, “My carefully-curated team of customer success and professional service advisors serve as an insurance policy for our user’s success. We don’t just help lenders through adoption and integration. We will also work with them to build their organization’s ideal digital home buying experience.”

The HW Women of Influence honors are given to individuals making notable contributions to their businesses and the industry at large – specifically focusing on contributions made in the most recent 12 months. After an exemplary first year at SimpleNexus, Lightfoot has demonstrated the energy, enthusiasm, and inventiveness necessary to influence the housing industry.

“Andria is a proven mortgage technology leader with a demonstrated ability to improve processes,” explains SimpleNexus CEO Ben Miller. “Her experience leading transformational operational initiatives at mortgage lending organizations is of great value to us at SimpleNexus and our customers.”

Honorees are profiled in the August issue of HousingWire Magazine. Congrats to Andria!
