Hansen has helped SimpleNexus become the industry-leading digital mortgage platform used by 220+ mortgage lenders and more than 20,000 loan officers.

Cathleen Schreiner Gates


Schreiner Gates is a 40-year veteran of the mortgage and technology industries. She joined the SimpleNexus Board of Directors in March 2020 after spending seven years with Ellie Mae, Pleasanton, Calif., as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Senior Vice President of Sales and Client Services. She has an MBA from Rutgers University.

Ben Miller


Ben Miller oversees ongoing business operations including strategic partnerships, implementation management, and customer success functions.
Ben joined SimpleNexus in 2014 as an original co-founder following his first meeting with Matt Hansen, the company founder. Today, Ben’s mission is keeping the company efficient as it scales, expanding partnerships, and bringing the right mix of people onboard. Ben draws personal satisfaction and motivation from being able to witness first hand the impact SimpleNexus is having on the mortgage industry as a whole.

Brian Zitin

Co-Founder & CEO

Brian Zitin is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Reggora, a venture-backed startup that provides software to speed up the appraisal process for mortgage lenders and real estate appraisers. Prior to Reggora, Brian co-founded a real estate brokerage called Sonder Partners, which was based on a proprietary algorithm that helped to efficiently target and sell investment properties in the Greater Boston area. His time with Sonder Partners exposed Brian to the inefficiencies in the modern appraisal process, which led to the start of Reggora. Brian has also spent time at both a boutique private equity company and a large commercial real estate investment firm.

Sue Woodard

Chief Customer Officer

Sue Woodard brings 30 years of financial services and mortgage industry experience, strategic vision and leadership to her role as Chief Customer Officer at Total Expert. Her focus is on helping lenders achieve greater productivity and long-term success. Sue started her career at the ground level, became a top producer, then leveraged her knowledge to become a highly acclaimed industry speaker, subject matter expert and technology executive.

Jordan Brown

MarketWise Advisors

Mr. Brown is the CEO of MarketWise Advisors, LLC, a specialized mortgage technology consulting advisory. Mr. Brown leads his strategic consulting practice with over 20 years of experience in origination product design/development, deployment, capital markets, loan servicing analytics, mortgage lender process reviews and related due diligence. Through MarketWise, Mr. Brown led over 120 client engagements with money center banks, mortgage firms, commercial banks and the vendor community.

David Burner

Partnership Manager

David Burner is the Strategic Planning & Partnership Manager for Notarize. In his role, David is responsible for engaging and advising all members of the real estate ecosystem on the digital mortgage landscape and helping mortgage lenders & title agents develop and launch their digital mortgage strategy. As the Strategic Planning & Partnership Manager, David is responsible for leading the efforts of marketplace education, sales enablement, and strategic alliances.

Prior to joining Notarize, Burner was a top producing loan officer for several non-bank lenders. He was also a producing manager specializing in training and supporting new loan officers starting their careers. David attributed his success to a focus on providing an exceptional trusted-partner approach with his borrowers by leveraging technology and focusing on improving the home buying and refinance process for his clients.

Shane Hartzler

Shane Hartzler is Fannie Mae’s Director for eMortgage and Closing Solutions within the Single Family Digital Products group. In this role he leads strategy execution in the design, development, and improvement of digital closing and delivery solutions as part of Fannie Mae’s broader digital mortgage transformation efforts. He partners with customers and industry stakeholders to evaluate market needs and identify opportunities to drive adoption and support deliveries of digital mortgages.

Brock Rauch

Brock Rauch as been in the mortgage industry for nearly twenty years. During this time he has worn many “hats” from managing sales and operations teams to leading corporate projects and initiatives. Brock is currently and executive at Hallmark Home Mortgage in charge of Marketing and IT. He is the proud father of two girls and is very active within his community. You may find Brock out and about doing a little branding for Hallmark with its HHMtv content on Facebook and YouTube. Brock has a passion for technology and improving efficiencies. Prior to joining Hallmark, Brock was a co-founder of a mortgage technology company.

Selene Kellam

Selene Kellam is the COO for Thrive Mortgage, a national mortgage company established in 2003 and based in Georgetown, Texas. A 2018 HousingWire Vanguard recipient, Selene has guided her company to multiple firsts in the industry, including an eClosing initiative which led to Thrive Mortgage completing the first 100% digital mortgage in the State of Texas. Selene was also the chief architect of Thrive Mortgage’s Quality and Efficiency initiative, which produced some of the most competitive cycle times in the industry while maintaining high standards for both service and loan quality.

Chuck Walker

Vice President, Single-Family Digital Alliances & Distribution
Fannie Mae

Chuck Walker currently serves as Fannie Mae’s Vice President for Single-Family Digital Alliances and Distribution managing the digital ecosystem supporting its Single-Family mortgage business. He is responsible for over 250 partnerships with technology providers, customer-facing technology sales support, and integration and testing support for customers and partners. In this role, he seeks to bring together technology providers and lenders to advance innovation across the mortgage ecosystem. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2016, Chuck was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he worked with North American clients in the financial services industry on customer experience and operational excellence programs. Prior to McKinsey, he was a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.

Paul Drobot


Paul Drobot is the Vice President of Sales for SimpleNexus. With over 12 years of experience in helping lenders select, deploy and adopt mortgage origination technology, Paul understands what it takes for a lender to successfully introduce new technology into their organization.

At SimpleNexus, Paul is a sales leader leveraged across the company with a primary focus of new business development, coaching and mentoring the sales team, assisting with complex opportunities and supporting all revenue generating activities. Paul has helped SimpleNexus grow to over 30,000 users and partner with 15 of the top 25 lenders.

In addition to working with mortgage lenders, Paul has a passion for being with family and playing soccer 3-4 times per week, when he isn’t traveling for work.

Mike Pulver

SVP, Manager Residential Mortgage
Genesee Regional Bank

Mike Pulver has been part of Genesee Regional Bank for more than six years, during which he has grown the bank’s mortgage production four-fold as its Senior Vice President, Manager Residential Mortgage. Mike’s 30-year career as a lender, recruiting consultant, and sales manager has helped community banks, as well as regional and national financial institutions develop and grow successful sales teams.

Mike worked as a lender and manager for mortgage providers including Fleet Mortgage, Bank of America, Charter One, Wells Fargo, MB Financial before coming to GRB to oversee the bank’s mortgage team in 2014. While at GRB, Mike’s skills as a sales manager are reflected in his ability to continue to expand his team and increase year-over-year production for individual mortgage lenders. During his tenure, Mike has overseen key mortgage initiatives including the development of an online application solution, direct sales to Fannie Mae, opening a second origination location, and rollout of a mobile application platform.

Josh Pitts

Josh Pitts is the founder of Shred Media and an industry entrepreneur with a passion for public speaking. Josh has spent the last decade in the mortgage industry in positions including mortgage advisor, chief marketing officer, chief operations officer, and his favorite, chief enthusiasm officer. Recently, he has refocused his energy and efforts on Shred Media by building the industry’s first attention and influence agency. Along with his work in the industry, Josh built a massive personal brand in less than eight months by doing live interviews every day with top professionals throughout the mortgage, real estate, insurance and title industries by sharing what they’re doing to dominate their marketplace. His daily goal is to provide valuable content to all industry professionals and inspire them to influence their audience through building their personal brand.

Shane Westra


Leading the SimpleNexus product organization comes naturally for this software development veteran with over 20 years experience. Under Shane’s direction, the R&D teams have delivered eClose, Chat, Team Members, Dynamic Letters, Price Locking, and much more.Prior to SimpleNexus, Shane honed his skills at technology companies in Utah and California, including LexisNexis, Workfront, and Bynder. In the rare time away from work, Shane likes to spend his time mountain biking, baking pies, or playing guitar.

Bob Hart

Bob Hart has spent 20 years working in real estate and mortgage technology. He is presently Vice President of Partner Development at ICE Mortgage Technology. Michael Chan is Director of Sales for SimpleNexus, the nation’s leading provider of digital mortgage solutions. Chan is focused on helping independent mortgage companies, depository institutions, and credit unions implement a digital mortgage strategy that meets the needs of evolving consumer preferences, loan originators’ productivity, and the macro technology trends impacting the mortgage lending landscape.

Pam Faulkner


Pam Faulkner has 35+ years in the mortgage industry which is exemplified in every client/employee interaction she has at SimpleNexus. She brings 15-years of “boots-on-the-ground” in the mortgage industry with a background in everything from accounting to operations management and couples it with a career dedicated to technology education.  She always shares her knowledge and skills with everyone she interacts with and guides peers to finding the perfect solution for the unique opportunity they are tackling.

Kent Besaw


As VP of Customer Success at SimpleNexus, Kent Besaw coordinates Customer Support, Customer Success Management, Implementation, Professional Services, and Training teams’ efforts.

His mission is to optimize the experience for SimpleNexus’ customers through efficient cross-department cooperation. Kent strongly believes customers are the most critical asset of any company. Before SimpleNexus, Kent developed his passion for Customer Success leading teams at SaltStack and Instructure.

Casey Williams

Casey Williams manages the Customer Success (CSM) team here at SimpleNexus. Casey strives to help clients realize the full value of the technology they purchased and discover ways to add additional value by getting all they can out of SimpleNexus. Outside of work Casey enjoys beekeeping and spending time in the mountains.

Tracy Farber

Director, Solutions Engineer

As the Director of Sales Engineering Tracy works with the Sales Organization to prepare and conduct online and onsite demonstrations of the SimpleNexus platform. Tracy joined the SimpleNexus team in 2020. Prior to joining SimpleNexus, she spent 12 years in various positions within Ellie Mae, Inc. and has more than 20 years in the mortgage industry. Tracy lives in South Florida with her husband and four-year-old son.

Bryan Manwaring

Product Manager

Bryan Manwaring is a product leader with over a decade of experience training and leading technical and product teams both small and large. With a passion for creating products that customers love, and a thorough understanding of technology, he knows how to motivate and lead organizations to create successful products. Bryan joined SimpleNexus in 2019 as a Senior Product Manager to focus on real estate and other referral partners.

Tyler Moore

Senior Counsel

As Senior Counsel, Tyler watches for compliance developments in the regulatory landscape and reviews contractual agreements to ensure they are within the risk profile. He also manages due diligence. Tyler’s background includes over a decade of legal/compliance work. He worked for Academy Mortgage as a compliance manager and at Citywide Home Loans as associate legal counsel. Tyler has the goal of making compliance interesting and even fun. He works hard to protect SimpleNexus, and our customers, from regulatory pitfalls.

Tyler Prows

Principal Product Manager

I started working in the Mortgage Tech industry in 2009 and have been a Product Manager for over 10 years. My passion is to understand problems that cause pain while creatively delivering solutions that alleviate pain and bring excitement. As a PM at SimpleNexus, I seek to understand the pain in the Homeownership journey and work to simplify the process. Currently, I am laser-focused on creating the best closing experience for Borrowers, Closers, and Settlement Agents.

Ryan Chadwick

Product Manager

As a Product Manager at SimpleNexus, Ryan is responsible for many of the integrations that deliver value to customers and really make SimpleNexus “the nexus” for the mortgage industry. Before SimpleNexus, Ryan worked at a software company that helped connect Title Companies and Counties to help deliver an electronic recording experience. When not working, Ryan loves to watch the Utah Jazz, play disc golf and get in a few baseball games.

Eric Bjornn

Sr. Product Manager

As a Sr. Product Manager at SimpleNexus, Eric is responsible for leading the charge to build products and services that provide a delightful borrower experience. Before coming to SimpleNexus, Eric led a utility billing and management program at a property management software company in Utah. Eric loves to travel and recently took full advantage of the new work from home policy by spending 3 weeks in Hawaii.

Travis Cox

Implementation Manager

As Manager of Implementation at SimpleNexus, Travis Cox oversees implementations, training, go-live initiatives, and new feature functionality for all new customers.
Travis strives to embody the motto: “If you’re not having fun while you’re working, it feels too much like work.” This motto guides his management style of implementation teams and processes positively and helps create strong bonds with customers.

With over 20 years of mortgage experience and his proven sales leadership, he plays a key role in elevating the production of Academy’s Loan Officers by leveraging technology, systems, relationships, and training. He has a true passion for coaching and helping Loan Officers identify winning behaviors to achieve growth.

Tammy Loucks is the Business Leader of Direct Property & Comparison Customer Acquisition Experience for Progressive Insurance. Her team is responsible for developing and enhancing the digital experience for consumers to obtain a property insurance quote and purchase a policy, as well as the auto comparison shopping experience. In 2020 Progressive and SimpleNexus teamed up to provide borrowers with an easy way to compare quotes from multiple carriers using Progressive’s HomeQuote Explorer™ and secure a home insurance policy in the same app they use to complete other loan-related tasks. Prior to joining Progressive in 2004, Tammy received both an MBA and BS from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon.
